Well, I know what I’m good at and that’s telling people what to do. However, this is not my venture, this is my daughters venture, and I am here for support and to lead her in skills she may not have achieved in her lifetime yet. I do well keeping them on track with things that have to be accomplished. I think I have figured out how to not cut anyone off at the knees with reactions. I listen, give my opinion and hopefully move everyone forward to help create something wonderful and sustaining for our group.
Amry is the creative brainchild of the operation. Even before she spoke to me about the company, she was into the immersive world of fantasy. She has dreams about these events and plans with her friends the costumes they will each wear and the events they will go to. She is a veteran of Anime Expos around the US as well as Ren Faires, fantasy balls and such. It’s one of her biggest pleasures in life, playing fantasy. She keeps us motivated and moving forward.
Her husband Raphael is a writer. In fact, he should be writing this, but will have plenty of time to grace us with his skills when we are onboard our REGENCY DEBUTANTE BALL CRUISE, and he must crank out paper after paper of the onboard gossip for the guests. He is also a director. So, he was the perfect person to direct his wife and I for the pod cast and learn new skills at the same time. He is also the sane one of the bunch and is hesitant whenever we reach a new level to make sure we are safe and sane in our antics and business. Thank goodness he is here for us, because Amry and I would already be onto a million different events. He keeps us grounded and with an attention to business and detail, is a must for our group.
We decided we needed someone to come into the company with more creative flair and a can do attitude to move us along with scheduling and keeping the managing day to day workings of the company going. My sister, Dawn, has always been the best at throwing extravaganzas with little effort. So, she was the perfect person to ask. Lucky for us, she said yes! Her work in food and beverage will be so beneficial to our business. She always has a positive attitude and a smile on her face! And I think she is liking doing something a little different with her time as well.
Another huge asset to our group was my son, Lucas. He got into the swing of our new company with designing the website and our company logo. Who knew there could be so many different opinions on a font!
This is a scary venture but will be fulfilling for all of us. As a family, this is a very special time for us all. As we grow, we will certainly bring on more people, but starting from the ground up with just us, seems like it will be magical.
