For many years, I have been mentoring underprivileged young people on how to successfully enter the entertainment industry. In fact, I co-founded a company with four other women in Los Angeles some years ago with this very mission. Unfortunately, we had to close the company due to personal circumstances, but those years were incredibly rewarding as we worked with young women from diverse backgrounds. Everyone deserves an opportunity to prosper, and I believe we made a significant impact during that time.
Given this experience, Amry and I felt a strong desire to continue giving back through our current company. Initially, we considered donating to nonprofits that support underprivileged youth in the entertainment industry, as we had done before. However, as we researched various organizations, the issue of children’s hunger emerged as a pressing concern both domestically and globally. Amry had previously engaged in philanthropic work for children’s diabetes, and I have consistently supported and participated in various charitable organizations.
Together, we decided to focus on two of our favorite charities: No Kid Hungry, a US-based organization that provides meals to children before and after school and on weekends, ensuring they are well-fed; and Action Against Hunger, a global organization that uses animal sharing and crop sharing to ensure children and families have daily food.
As our company grows, we plan to expand our charitable efforts. We feel strongly that addressing children’s hunger is crucial for the next generation’s ability to learn and thrive, and we are committed to contributing to this cause.
Warmly,
Kat
